[Libs-Or] william stafford's bilingual birthday celebration

Please join us at the West Linn Public Library on Friday, February 6th from
7-9 p.m. for an English and Swedish reading of William Stafford's poetry.
This event commemorates the birthday of Oregon'a late poet laureate, whose
work is known internationally and was postponed due to snow in January.
 
A writer of the West, Stafford's legacy continues in the writing of his son
Kim, Director of the Northwest Writing Institute, who will read his father's
poetry in English.  Lars Nordstrom, a writer of prose, poetry and more, was
born and educated in Sweden, and will read in Swedish from his new
translation of William Stafford's work.
 
The public is invited to this Library After Hours event celebrating the
cross-cultural poetry of Willaim Stafford.  Wine, beverages and hors
d'oeuvres will be served.
