2005 PNC/MLA Annual Conference
Medical Libraries: Core of Discovery
You are invited to join us at the 2005 meeting of the Pacific Northwest
Chapter of the Medical Library Association (PNC/MLA) at the Governor Hotel
in Portland, Oregon, October 15-18. All registration material, including
hotel information and pre-conference continuing education courses, is

Register by September 15th to be eligible for the "Made in Oregon" basket
raffle.
Highlights of the meeting include the keynote speaker, David J. Peck, D.O.,
whose presentation, "The Lewis and Clark Expedition - Wilderness Medicine in
Early America", has received rave reviews, a panel on "Getting and Managing
Grants", and Buddy Ullman, Ph.D., presenting "Parasites: A Global Health
Problem". There are also three CE classes: Evidence-based Medicine and the
Medical Librarian, Your Library as a Business, and Managing Electronic
Resources in Health Sciences Libraries.
