CONTINUING EDUCATION OFFERING IN OREGON FROM EMPORIA STATE UNIVERSITY'S
SCHOOL OF LIBRARY AND INFORMATION MANAGEMENT

The School of Library and Information Management (SLIM), Emporia State
University, is offering a limited number of seats in the following
course:  LI827XO -- Preservation of Library Materials.  The class is
being taught by Randy Silverman, who is the Associate Preservation
Librarian at the University of Utah.

The fee for non-credit participation will be $100 and must be paid at
the beginning of class.  Students paying the non-credit fee will not
receive a grade and are not expected to complete class assignments.

The class meets two weekends on the PSU campus in downtown Portland --
August 26-28 and October 14-16.  Class times are Fridays from 6-9 p.m.,
Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays from 8:30 a.m. to Noon.
