[Libs-Or] List of ALA Council Nominees

I just received the December 2005 issue of "American Libraries."  Once again they have not made it clear that the candidates listed are only about half of the candidates.  I just thought I would let you know that there is still time to run for an ALA Councilor-At-Large position.  You can get a petition filled out and filed by January 30, 2006 and be on the spring ballot.  

Petitions can be picked up at the ALA Midwinter Meeting and passed around at almost any meeting to get the required 25 signatures.  

I am not sure where all you can pick up petitions but I know that you can pick one up from the ALA staff working at the ALA Council meetings and at Lois Ann Gregory Wood's desk (Council Secretariat)in the ALA offices at the conference. Also, go to https://cs.ala.org/petition/login/start.cfm .

I look forward to seeing the names of more candidate on the spring ballot.
