5 Star Presentations: Bringing Your Message to Life
presented by Guila Muir

Involving! Interactive! Persuasive! Thought-Provoking! Informative!

When presenting to a live audience, do you want to inspire these
compliments? Learn how to plan and deliver an effective and engaging
presentation. Discover and enhance your own personal presentation style.
You'll come away with tips on how to involve your audience, use pacing and
tone effectively, tailor content to time, anticipate room and equipment
needs, and handle any problems that develop. Observe experienced trainer
Guila Muir in action and come away with lots of ideas for your own Five Star
Presentations.

Target Audience: Anyone who does presentations - for conferences, staff
training or library user instruction, a speech to a local chamber of
commerce or PTA, or school visits.

Cost: $85 for WLA members; $95 for non-WLA members; $30 for students.
Late registrations for all workshops will be accommodated on a
space-available basis.

Meetings That Work: The Art of Facilitation presented by Guila Muir

"Great meeting! I can't believe how much we accomplished!"
How often do you leave a meeting thinking that?! Learn how to focus
group dialogue, making your meetings more productive. Learn what is
meant by the "facilitator frame of mind;" and understand when using a
facilitator is appropriate. Write an outcome-based agenda that can be
used immediately. You'll learn (and demonstrate!) essential facilitator
skills and unique question types that will help you focus a
conversation, and you'll be able to respond effectively to difficult or
conflictive group dynamics.

Target Audience: Anyone who attends meetings!

Cost: $85 for WLA members; $95 for non-WLA members; $30 for students
Dates/Locations: Late registrations for all workshops will be
accommodated on a space-available basis.
