5 Star Presentations: Bringing Your Message to Life

Learn how to plan and deliver an effective and engaging presentation.
Discover and enhance your own personal presentation style. You'll come
away with tips on how to involve your audience, use pacing and tone
effectively, tailor content to time, anticipate room and equipment
needs, and handle any problems that develop. Observe experienced trainer
Guila Muir in action and come away with lots of ideas for your own Five
Star Presentations.
 
Target Audience: Anyone who does presentations - for conferences, staff
training or library user instruction, a speech to a local chamber of
commerce or PTA, or school visits.  Costs for Oregon public library
staff will be funded through the Oregon State Library with Training
Program Grant funds from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Late
registrations for all workshops will be accommodated on a
space-available basis.
