[Libs-Or] Mock Newbery in January

Hello everybody:

OLA's Children's Services Division is sponsoring a Mock Newbery on 
January 6, 2006 at the Eugene Public Library. The workshop will be run 
by Heather McNeil, Youth Services Coordinator of the Deschutes Public 
Library System and a member of the 2005 Newbery Committee.

Participants will have a chance to nominate books and will receive a 
reading list from Heather in plenty of time to get the books read before 
the workshop.

The cost of the Mock Newbery will be $15 and that includes lunch. 
Registration forms must be returned to me by December 1, 2005. The 
registration flyer is attached and will also soon be available on the 
website at www.olaweb.org/csd.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about the Newbery award and 
how the winners are chosen.
