CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

The quarterly review journal Counterpoise is seeking articles and 
essays on POVERTY for its next issue. We invite your stories, 
commentary, research, and analysis for potential publication in Issue 
9.4.

Suggested topics and approaches:

* anti-poverty organizations and initiatives
* art and literature (representations of poverty)
* demographic groups (age, race, gender, etc.) & poverty
* economics and globalization
* education and schools
* employment, wages, and the income gap
* environmental concerns
* first-person accounts
* health care
* history
* housing & homelessness
* hunger
* Hurricane Katrina and natural disasters
* local and global events
* media coverage
* problem solving
* public policy and legal issues
* resources for and about poor people
* social exclusion
* social programs
* teaching aids
* technology
* urban, suburban, and rural poverty
* or anything else!

We welcome contributions from across the social spectrum: students and 
scholars, librarians and service providers, activists and artists, and 
interested members of the community.

Submissions that are NOT included in Issue 9.4 will be considered for 
publication on the Hunger, Homelessness & Poverty Task Force Web site: 
www.hhptf.org.
