Hello Colleagues!
Our next Portland Areas Information Literacy Group meeting is scheduled
for next Wednesday, March 1, from 7:00 -9:00 at the PSU Library room
160. Please mark your calendars. The topics we’ll engage in are listed
below. As usual, RSVPs are appreciated (schroedr at pdx.edu
<mailto:schroedr at pdx.edu>, so we can estimate our cookie count), but not
necessary. Drop-ins are always welcome!
Our topics for this meeting:
*Teens and Technology *– Implications for Library Service and Instruction
Sara Ryan of Multnomah Public Library
Teens say email is for adults, everyone downloads music and videos, and
we all know people who use the Internet to cheat!

Sensitivity in Service *Sue Phillips of Catlin Gabel School, and Bob
Schroeder of PSU
Sue and Bob will lead a discussion focusing on a recent article by Ann
Curry, “If I ask, Will They Answer: Evaluating Public Library Reference
Service to Gay and Lesbian Youth” (RUSQ Fall 2005 v. 45, no. 1, pp. 65
