[Libs-Or] Gates Staying Connected Grant Trainings Available

The Oregon State Library has contracted with Infopeople, the training organization for the California State Library, to present several sessions of two different workshops in association with our Gates Staying Connected Grant that matched funding for new public access computers for public libraries in Oregon. The online registration for a number of those trainings is now available at the Infopeople website (click on the link then click on "training" and "all workshops" in the left navigation or "register for training" and "on-ground" on the top of the page: http://infopeople.org/oregon/
The sessions are open and free for public library staff in Oregon, snacks and lunch will be provided at no cost.
The following are the trainings that have been scheduled so far:
Helping the Public Use Public Access Computers (limited to 20 participants each session)
December 18th Salem Public Library
December 19th WCCLS Headquarters in Hillsboro
January 10, 2007 Baker County Library, Baker City
Managing Public Access Computers-Best Practices (limited to 30 participants each session)
December 6th Oregon State Library, Salem
December 7th Newport Public Library
December 8th Beaverton City Library
We will not be registering anyone here at the Oregon State Library, you must register on-line. If you have questions or concerns please contact me.
