[Libs-Or] opportunities to attend focus groups on Oregon's LSTA program in Eastern Oregon - - location and schedule changes Oct. 6

There are still opportunities for Eastern Oregon to participate in the evaluation of the state's LSTA grant program.   We would appreciate hearing your thoughts about the current Five-Year plan (http://oregon.gov/OSL/LD/LSTA/5yrStatePlan03-08.pdf), the administration of the program, and the way LSTA funds are used in Oregon.  We hope you will share your observations of the impact of LSTA funds in your area and what future directions the Five-Year Plan and LSTA program should include.  

LSTA funds pay for: 
collaborative summer reading program 
statewide database licensing subsidies (Ebsco and Oregonian)
Plinkit websites
Sage courier project
L-Net e-reference service
OSLIS
State Library consulting programs
and $800,000 in competitive grants per year- including automation with Sage, districting studies in Union County and Malheur County and more.
