This Human Resources generalist position is part of the Oregon State Library management team and is a Management Service Supervisory position.

The Oregon State Library is an independent state agency governed by a seven-member Board of Trustees appointed by the Governor. The mission of the State Library is to provide quality information services to Oregon state government, to provide reading materials to blind and print-disabled Oregonians, and to provide leadership, grants, and other assistance to improve local library development for all Oregonians. The primary purpose of this position is to manage the human resources functions of a small (42.47 FTE) state agency, including supervising two administrative staff and providing daily direction to agency management and employees on recruitment and hiring, position classification/allocation, complaint/grievance investigation and resolution, compensation and benefits, employee relations, performance management, policy and procedure development, personnel record keeping, training, safety, and affirmative action/diversity.  As a member of the agency Management Team, serve as lead person on a variety of agency-wide committees and/or projects.
