The Brown County Public Library, headquartered in Green Bay, Wisconsin,
has an exciting opportunity for a library director that excels in
leadership - a communicator, with political savvy, who is a library
promoter and partnership builder, and is interested in exploring a
variety of funding revenues. The library's operations manager handles
most of the day-to-day activities, giving the library director the
freedom to lead.

 

Brown County, located in northeastern, Wisconsin, has a population of
over 242,000.  The library is comprised of a central library with eight
branches and a bookmobile. The collection includes over 573,571 items
and an annual circulation of more than 2.3 million. The staff is made up
of 83.06 FTE and the library's current operating budget is $6.5 million.

Minimum Qualifications: MLS from an ALA accredited library education
program plus

10 years professional experience with demonstrated management ability in
administration, budgeting, planning, fundraising, and supervision.  A
dynamic, outgoing, and creative individual who is a presence in the
community and excels at partnership building and empowering staff.
Excellent public relations skills and the ability to work effectively
with the County and other community agencies and organizations.  

  

Salary: Minimum $90,000.00, depending on qualifications.
