On behalf of our client, Library Associates is conducting a renewed
search for innovative law librarians who have a strong commitment to
providing top-quality library services to the public and community at
large. We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic professional with
public services and leadership experience. Located in sunny San Diego,
the Assistant Director, Public Services (ADPS) position will report to
the Director and will oversee the continued development of the Public
Services department and a staff. The Position The vacancy is the result
of the upcoming retirement of the current ADPS. Our client has been
undertaking many exciting projects to improve the library and its
services. Included among these projects are the following: recent
purchase of new patron computers; OPAC upgrade; revision of collection
development policy; planning of remodel of public spaces; development
and creation of new services for the citizens and community in San Diego
County. Our client has a Main Library and 3 branches and a Public
Services staff that includes 12 FTE, both professionals and
paraprofessionals.
