Because this reminder message is being sent out later than intended,
OYAN's OYEA Committee is extending the deadline for receipt of
nominations for their inaugural award through Friday, March 9, 2007,
rather than the original deadline of Monday, March 5. If you've been
meaning to submit a nomination for a person, organization, or program
that deserves recognition for their role in providing exceptional teen
library services in Oregon, the time to do it is now!

The newly created annual honor - to be formally presented on Wednesday,
April 18 prior to the PLD Dinner at the annual OLA Conference - will be
granted to an individual, library, program, or initiative as a way to
acknowledge and celebrate the recipient's efforts. The prize will
consist of an engraved plaque as well as a monetary donation made to the
teen services program chosen by the award winner.

Please send the nominee's name, your contact information, and a
description of the positive and significant contributions to teens via
email or snail mail to the OYEA Awards Committee Chair: Sue Ludington
[susanlu at multcolib.org], 3727 SE Gladstone, Portland, OR 97202.
Preference will be given to nominees who are supported by a letter of
recommendation written by a teen.

Please submit your deserving nominee today!
