LIBRARY ASSISTANT (part-time)

 

LOCATION: St. Helens, OR.  The library is 40 minutes north of Portland on the Columbia River with views of Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Adams, and Mt. Hood.  You can reach the coast in 1:15.

CLOSES:  March 27, 2007 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  20 hours/week, Evenings and weekends.  No benefits except for City paid PERS after six months

SALARY: $11/hour

 

The St. Helens Public Library is seeking a flexible individual with excellent customer service skills to help us cover weekend and evening hours.  This position performs various duties within the Library requiring general knowledge of library operations.  The focus of the position is in circulation but it will also provide reference services as needed and assist with children's and technical services.  A two to three minute storytime presentation suitable for children ages 3-5 will be required during the interview.
