This position remains open. The ESD is now looking at contracting
this out rather than hiring a full time person. Hours could be
flexible for you retirees who love to travel.

A certified librarian is needed for a one year, full time position
implementing a federal "Improving Literacy Through School Libraries"
grant for $299,475. awarded to Douglas ESD (the only such grant
awarded in Oregon).
The grant is designed to enhance libraries in low-income Douglas
County schools in Elkton, North Douglas, Oakland, South Umpqua,
Sutherlin and Yoncalla school districts. The certified media
specialist will examine and strengthen existing programs, buy books
and resources, provide professional development for teachers and
library staff, assist with grant writing, and upgrade library media
center computers and software for students.
