The Garden Home Community Library (a member of Washington County Cooperative Library Services) is recruiting for a Youth Librarian for our small, very busy library. Located in the Garden Home Recreation Center,  our well-established children's program is highly valued by our community, including the preschool programs located in our building.  
 
Responsible for developing, planning and presenting  story time programs for all age levels. Responsible for collection development, ordering and cataloging of materials for our juvenile and young adult areas.  Plans, presents and supervises our Summer Reading program.  Coordinates and trains staff and volunteers to assist with Summer Reading and other library programs.  Provides reader's advisory, reference assistance while working at the circulation desk.  Represents the library at meetings and manages the library in the Director's absence.  May be assigned supervisory responsibilities.
 
Master's in Library Science with experience working with children in a public library preferred.  This full time position may include evening and Saturday hours.  The starting salary is $38,000-$42,000 per year with fully paid health and dental insurance and a simple IRA retirement matching plan.
