Hello,

L-net, Oregon's Statewide Digital Reference Project
(http://www.oregonlibraries.net) is recognizing Albany Public Library
librarian Diane Moody for her high quality digital reference work while
staffing the service during the Spring 2008 quarter.

Diane's transcript is online at http://www.oregonlibraries.net/notable.

Diane works with a patron who is researching New Jersey history and
memorabilia. She skillfully guides him to resources that he had been
unable to find on his own. The L-net Quality Team is impressed with
Diane's talent for finding answers, as well as how enjoyable she makes
the interaction. Many of our patrons want more than an answer to
reference questions - they want to feel a connection with the librarian.
Diane does a great job of establishing a positive rapport that lets the
patron know she is interested and happy to help. The patron is eager to
share his enthusiasm for his subject because he senses Diane's
enthusiasm for leading him to the information that he needs. Diane also
does a nice job describing the national service L-net provides through
the Cooperative. Thanks, Diane!

As an expression of appreciation, Diane was presented with flowers and a
certificate. Please join us in congratulating her!
