There are new technologies—such as
Aristotle<http://www.whitehouse.gov/open/innovations/Dod-Aristotle/>,
DoDTechipedia/Defense Solutions <http://defensesolutions.gov/>, and
TroopTube <http://www.trooptube.tv/> that appear helpful in connecting
military families and in continuing the effort to improve internet resources
available to the military. While new technologies offer exciting
opportunities, they also come with their own challenges. The Department of
Defense launched the Web 2.0 Guidance
Forum<http://web20guidanceforum.dodlive.mil/>on July 31st, 2009 in an
effort to ensure effective use of emerging
technologies and to gather input from the public. If you are interested in
participating in this exciting discussion, you may do so through Thursday,
August 20th, 2009
