Looking for a book on local history? If so, you might be interested in Salem, a new book in the Images of America series from Arcadia Publishers. The 127 page volume is full of historic photographs with comprehensive captions that detail Salem's history. By default, there is some broader information about Oregon history, too. The authors are both local. Mr. Fuller was a Portland reporter for over a decade and is the author of Oregon at Work: 1859-2009. Ms. Van Heukelem is a genealogist and catalogs children's materials at Salem Public Library.
