This
course is based on chapter 9, "Electronic resources," and chapter 12,
"Continuing resources," of the Anglo-American Cataloging Rules
(AACR), 2nd edition, 2002 Revision. The course focuses on cataloging electronic
integrating resources with only incidental information on cataloging loose-leaf
integrating resources.  

The
sessions include:  

An
introduction to integrating resources and their identification. 

Instructions for cataloging
     updating Web sites, databases, and loose-leafs.Making changes to records.Case studies and more
     difficult aspects of cataloging electronic integrating resources.Resource selection and
     options for access. 

Audience 

This
course presumes at least some familiarity with the rules and practice of
cataloging electronic resources, including AACR2 chapter 9 and MARC 21 computer
files coding
RegistrationRegistration is limited to 25 attendees.  The cost is $95.00 for the two day workshop, including lunch and a manual.
