OpenTheGovernment.org, Center for Democracy and Technology release report
of most wanted federal documents
<http://www.wo.ala.org/districtdispatch/?p=2381> March 23rd, 2009
OpenTheGovernment.org <http://openthegovernment.org/> and the Center for
Democracy and Technology (CDT) <http://www.cdt.org/> have completed the
report, Show Us the Data: Most Wanted Federal
Documents.<http://www.openthegovernment.org/otg/TopTenReport.pdf>The
report is based on the results of a Web-based
survey <http://www.showusthedata.org/> created with the help of Sunlight
Labs.
It cites documents and data that the federal government should make easier
to find and to use and recommends policy changes to make government more
open. Number one on the list is public access to all Congressional Research
Service (CRS) reports. Take a look at the report to see the full list.
