With less than one week to go until National Library Legislative Day (NLLD),
it’s important to know that you don’t have to be in Washington, D.C. to make
a difference. The Internet has provides many opportunities to get involved
without leaving the comfort of your home or office.

For those of you who are unable to travel to Washington, there are several
ways to participate in NLLD activities. For the first time, you will be
able to follow the meetings on the Hill via Twitter and call your Members of
Congress as the meetings progress. Please sign up for updates from the
Office of Government Relations Twitter account (ala_ogr) so you can get in
on the action! There will also be opportunities to get involved via the
Legislative Action Center, the District Dispatch, Second Life and Facebook,
so make sure you sign up in order to stay up-to-date on all the action.

ALA will be blogging live via Twitter and the District Dispatch, so please
check these pages early and often. Please sign up to receive tweets under
the Office of Government Relations account (ala_ogr) to follow NLLD and key
legislative issues. By responding to each meeting as it happens, your
elected officials will learn that we are coordinated and mean business!
