Library Circulation Supervisor
40 Hours per week, 12 months a year  
Regular semester hours are Sunday through Thursday 1pm - 10pm
Summer and break hours Monday through Friday 9am - 6pm 
Reports to Director for Library Services

Warner Pacific College is a Christian liberal arts college at the base
of Mt. Tabor in southeast Portland.  The Library serves approximately
1,000 students; it is a member of the Orbis Cascade Alliance.


Position Description						
Manage Circulation transactions in the Library including fines,
reserves, Summit borrowing, and interlibrary loan.  Hire, train,
schedule, and supervise approximately 15 work-study students.
Know/learn/keep up with the relevant areas of the Innovative integrated
library system in order to facilitate Circulation transactions.  Collect
and report statistics.  Interact/communicate with faculty and the campus
community.  Provide reference assistance.	

Essential Skills Required:
Knowledge of library operations, leadership skills, visionary/planning
skills, supervisory skills that include keeping students on task,
intuitive skills that can facilitate problem solving, creative approach
to problem solving, detail oriented, customer service oriented,
communication skills, multi-tasking, and patience.

Experience, Knowledge, and Education Required:
Two years of library experience in a supervisory position preferred.
Good grasp of technology. Good interpersonal communication and problem
solving skills.  Flexible, reliable, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and
approachable.  Team and customer oriented, strong attention to detail,
good sense of humor needed.  Bachelor's degree preferred.
