It's time to start thinking about PNLA in August 11-14, 2010 in Victoria
BC.  Start making your summer plans and share your wealth of knowledge.

Call for Proposals

Please note that the call for program proposals for the joint 2010
Washington Library Association/Pacific Northwest Library Association
conference is now available at http://2010conference.wla.org/programs/.

The 2010 conference is being held August 11-14 in beautiful Victoria,
BC.
The theme for the 2010 conference is "No Library is an Island" and
speaks to
the need to collaborate effectively in difficult economic times. The
theme
is also a celebration of the cooperative spirit that libraries have in
their "DNA". The joint WLA/PNLA conference is a chance to learn and
share
with colleagues in one of the library community's few "international"
(well,
cross-border at least!) conferences.

The joint conference will bring together library staff from five states
and
two provinces at the Victoria Conference Centre and the Fairmont
Empress.
Those of you that have attended PNLA conferences in the past will know
the
delicate balance of fun and learning that they are famous for. Having
our
colleagues from the WLA join us makes the 2010 conference a once in a
lifetime opportunity. Top-notch session speakers will mix with events
such
as "Corks and Cans" (self explanatory, I hope) and tours that take
advantage
of the wonders of Victoria in the summer to guarantee a conference
experience nonpareil. 

If you are interested in delivering a session, please note the deadline
of
