Dear Colleagues:

I want to make sure you did not miss John Terry's column in the Oregonian
these past two weekends that profiled Mary Frances Isom and Cornelia Marvin
Pierce. The fact that Oregon has such great public libraries today owes a
great deal to these two librarians who came here at the beginning of the
last century and laid the foundation. If you like the articles you might
want to send John a thank you email.
