[Libs-Or] Job opening @ Mt. Hood Community College

Mt. Hood Community College (http://www.mhcc.edu) is seeking a part-time Instruction & Reference Librarian to work Mondays and Tuesdays beginning in winter term (January 3, 2011).  The position is currently posted on the MHCC HR website (http://jobs.mhcc.edu/applicants/Central?quickFind=51583); it will remain open until filled, but initial screening begins on December 6, 2010.  Other information:

The position is 18 hours/week, and the pay is $25.00/hour.  Applicants must have the following:
- ALA MLS
- Experience teaching in an academic setting
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse faculty, students, and staff

Beyond these minimums, highly desirable applicants will have the following:
- Experience providing instruction and reference services in a community college library
- Experience providing library reference services in an online environment
- Experience in collection development
