This is a very useful historical snapshot of library trends about 6-8
years ago, much of the data drawn from 2002 and 2003 reports.  I wonder
how activities and comparisons have evolved under the impact of dramatic
changes in the technology, economics, and roles of libraries.  Jim Neal.
