Good news from yesterday’s California elections:

In Marin County, voters passed three measures to support libraries. All
three measures were for $49 annual parcel taxes, and each required a 2/3
majority to pass.

Marin County Library’s measure won with 74% of the vote.

San Anselmo Public Library’s measure won with 74% of the vote.

San Rafael Public Library’s measure won with 69% of the vote.

In Santa Clara County, the North County Library Authority (Los Altos &
Los Altos Hills) passed (77%) a measure to continue taxing themselves an
additional $76 per parcel annually to provide augmented hours and
services for their libraries.

Congratulations to all the library workers who worked so hard to pass
these measures.
