[Libs-Or] Purchasing Furniture

Any stories or insights into how to purchase library furniture?  How to
choose a particular brand and style that meets the needs of the library
and still do so while meeting state contracting law, in particular?  If
we like the tables from one manufacturer, and they are built to order,
finding three price quotes isn't really possible...
