The Board of Trustees seeks a dynamic leader with passion, vision, and commitment to support the mission and core values of the agency. The Oregon State Librarian serves as Agency Director and Chief Administrative Officer that provides guidance and assistance to the Library Management Team, and represents the Library in dealings with the heads of other state and local agencies and organizations and the Legislative Assembly. The State Librarian directs the Library staff to meet the mission of the agency as contained in the Oregon Revised Statutes and the long range and biennial goals adopted by the State Library Board of Trustees. Serials/Government Documents Librarian

The Consortium Library at the University of Alaska Anchorage seeks applications from dynamic, innovative librarians for its Serials/Government Documents Librarian position. The position provides leadership in managing and providing access to serials and government documents. Responsibilities include managing serials and government document acquisitions, invoices, claims, cataloging and classification of materials using LC and SuDoc classification schemes, staff training and supervision, and providing basic instruction in the use of government documents as well as, participating in staffing the library's general reference desk. This is a year-round tenure-track, faculty position with a 9 plus 3 month contract. This position reports to the Head of Technical Services. The successful candidate will have a Master's Degree in Library Science (or equivalent) from an ALA Accredited program at the time of appointment or within 6 months, familiarity with the serials trade and trends in scholarly communication, familiarity with integrated library systems and OCLC bibliographic utilities, and cataloging experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills are also required as is the ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow through on assigned tasks. Salary and benefits: Minimum salary of $63,000 annually. Attractive benefits including retirement program, insurance, tuition remission, vacation, and holidays.

Full-time (40 hrs/wk) positions, Corvallis-Benton County Public Library, Adult Services and Extension Services. Provide reference service and information to patrons in person, by chat and by email in Adult Services. Develop and maintain websites, and provide a variety of technology applications for providing library services to patrons as well as for marketing and publicity purposes. Develop, plan, contract, and provide adult programming for patrons. Troubleshoot computer software and hardware problems to assist patrons. Develop and manage collections. Instruct patrons in the use of the library; conduct tours; prepare bibliographies, user guides, and displays. In addition, the Extension Services Librarian serves as backup for the Circulation desk in the branch libraries. May conduct storytimes. May be required to work in various Community Library locations. Must be willing and able to drive the Mobile Library Vehicle. Should be able to handle boxes of materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires MLS from an ALA-accredited program, or completion of at least 80% of MLS Program with degree to be completed by the end of six months employment. The library director is responsible for managing a city library serving 24,509 people as part of a countywide library district enjoying long-time public and governmental support and stable funding under the district's dedicated tax base. The Coos Bay library director works collaboratively with other county directors for provision and development of shared district library services. The library is located on the magnificent southern Oregon coast, the region's commercial, retail, educational, and cultural center. The library director supervises a staff of 11 FTE in a 25,872-foot facility slated for future expansion. Minimum qualifications include an MLS from an ALA-accredited institution of higher education, five years of progressively responsible library experience including three years in a supervisory/administrative capacity.
