Sunshine week is over, but there are still opportunities to learn about government transparency.

Please join us at the Oregon Library Association conference on Thursday, April 7, in Santiam 5 at 4:00 for "I Can See Clearly Now: Transparency in Oregon State Government". Michael Kron and Tony Green from the Oregon Department of Justice will discuss the history of Oregon's public records laws, the conflict between records about government and records about individuals, privacy issues and the media, and the Attorney General's current initiative to update Oregon's laws. Sean McSpaden and Marjorie Taylor from the Oregon Department of Administrative Services will give a tour of Oregon's government transparency site, and show what's available and what's coming from Data.oregon.gov.

This program is sponsored by the Documents Interest Group of Oregon.
