OSU Libraries is sponsoring a three-part UMUC webinar series: Implications of the Landmark GSU Case Decision on Educational Fair Use

Two parts remaining in series:

Series II, August 22, 2012, 10-11 AM, Willamette East (Valley Library Room 3622), with Johnathan Bloom, J.D., Well, Gotschal & Manges LLP.

Johnathan is a member  of the IP/ Media  Group. He specialized in litigation and counseling and art law. His clients include news organizations, publishers, broadcasters and other clients in the areas of copyright and trademark infringement, misappropriation, defamation, and a wide range of First Amendment and related issues. He was a member of the plaintiff's trial team in Cambridge University Press v. Becker.

Series III, August 29, 2012, 10-11 AM, Autzen (Valley Library Room 2082), with Peggy Hoon, J.D., Virtual Scholar in Residence, Center for Intellectual Property.

Peggy Hoon is the American Library Association’s 2008 recipient of the L. Ray Patterson Award in Support of Users’ Rights. In addition to working with the CIP, Ms. Hoon is the Scholarly Communications Librarian for the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC).
