McMenamins, The OE continues its History Night series with a look back at
the people and events that have shaped our communities. Special guests and

Learn about the history of the Portland Women’s Union and the development
of women boarding houses
through a documentary film produced and created by Dana Plautz and Miles
Sprietsma. Through images
and interviews with historians, residents of the Martha Washington, housing
experts, and past presidents
of the organization, the film traces the Portland Women’s Union and how
they raised the monies, managed,
and actually built the Martha Washington Hotel.
