CE topic: “Introduction to Epidemiology for Librarians” (4 MLA CE Contact Hours)

Instructor: Kristine M. Alpi, AHIP, Director, William Rand Kenan, Jr. Library of Veterinary Medicine and Adjunct Assistant Professor, Population Health & Pathobiology, College of Veterinary Medicine, North Carolina State University–Raleigh

Course Description: Learn how epidemiology is used to study human health and disease outbreaks, what the varied roles and training of practitioners involved in creating health data are, and how librarians may use epidemiological knowledge to search and select relevant literature as well as plan their own research.

CE Fees: $60 (OHSLA members)/$85 (non-members) – includes lunch (incidentally the same course at MLA in Seattle cost $240 (MLA members)/$445 (non-members)
