Thanks to everyone for pointing out that I am the State Library contact for the Cover Oregon program. The staff at Cover Oregon have been very proactive in reaching out to libraries.
I have been working with the staff develop several opportunities for libraries to help disseminate information and assist citizens with accessing Cover Oregon programs. These will include distribution of promotional materials as well as other training opportunities for library staff. We are working out some details and gathering some resources, but I should have more information to share with the wider Oregon library community in the next week or so.
In the meantime, please feel free to go to the Cover Oregon web site to learn more about their program:
http://www.coveroregon.com/ or consult some of the great resources suggested by the National Network of Libraries of Medicine http://nnlm.gov/pnr/ACA.html
Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions!

This is great.
I wonder if someone from OLA, or the OSL, or.... ? might want to see if CoverOregon wants to reach out to Oregon libraries in some way. Although general ACA info will be very helpful, it would be good to know the unique characteristics of Oregon's version of the exchange as well. It may be that some of our librarians don't even know that "CoverOregon" is the name of our version...
I love the commercials.

Please excuse cross-posting.
We are pleased to announce a new website regarding the Affordable Care Act with links to state-specific information for the Pacific Northwest.
National Network of Libraries of Medicine
PACIFIC NORTHWEST REGION
Here's the newest from our blog, Dragonfly:
AFFORDABLE CARE ACT: NATIONAL AND STATE INFORMATION SOURCES
Learn more about the Health Insurance Market Place & your new coverage options with Obamacare
Beginning in October, the general public is expected to come to libraries and organizations providing health information in great numbers to learn about the health insurance requirements and options that will be available for them at the Health Insurance Marketplace, an element of the Affordable Care Act.
To assist the Pacific Northwest Region (Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and
Washington) in knowing more about both national and state-specific news, information and resources to support these information needs, we have launched an Affordable Care Act website (http://nnlm.gov/pnr/ACA.html) that is also linked at the top of our Quick Links section of our homepage (http://nnlm.gov/pnr/). We hope you find this information helpful and welcome your suggestions!
