OSU Libraries and Press (OSULP) is pleased to invite you to the December Library Faculty Association Seminar Series. Amanda Whitmire, Data Management Specialist at OSULP, will present “Research Data Services at OSU Libraries and Press: What’s the Story?”

Date: Friday, December 13, 2013
Time: 10:00-11:30 a.m.
Place: Willamette Rooms (Third Floor)

In September 2012, Amanda Whitmire retired her sea legs and shifted from oceanography to a career in research data management services and instruction at OSULP. Her presentation will provide local and national context for why OSULP felt the need to begin offering these innovative services, review the scope of the services that we now offer, and briefly examine how the services compare to those of our peers. This seminar is intended to be a “Who, what, when, where, why and how?” about research data services for audiences including faculty and staff within OSULP and the wider campus community. Colleagues from other academic libraries will leave with a better understanding about providing data management services on their own campuses.
