There are many ways to measure success. Sometimes we crunch the circulation numbers to see how we're doing. Other measures, like getting a drawing from a young patron, are more subjective. In the issue, we seek to explore the many ways we use to find out whether we're doing the job right.
Currently, we have articles on

1.       measuring the effectiveness of weeding an overgrown collection;

2.       how one librarian strove to make the process of a summer reading line up with the goals of summer reading;

3. the reflections of a long-term children's librarian on how she measures success.
We are seeking a few more articles for the Spring issue of OLA Quarterly. If you are interested, please contact either Karen Muller at karen.muller at hillsboro-oregon.gov<mailto:karen.muller at hillsboro-oregon.gov> or Chris King at chris.king at hillsboro-oregon.gov<mailto:chris.king at hillsboro-oregon.gov>.
