Northwest Central (NWC) is a community-driven online clearinghouse for library –related continuing education opportunities. It serves library staff in Oregon, Washington, and beyond. As a free, community-oriented project, NWC depends on members in the library community to share calendar listings and information about library-related CE events. Please take a moment to explore the site, share information, and learn about CE opportunities that might interest you! http://nwcentral.org/

NWC is embarking upon an exciting time of change and refocus. The website has two new administrators, Elsa Loftis and Gina Bacon, who will be coordinating the project on a part time basis. Elsa is a librarian at Everest College and is active in the Oregon library community in many roles, including serving on the L-Net Advisory Board. Gina is a student in the Emporia program and works in the Marketing Department at Whole Foods. She is also the coordinator of the local student chapter of ALA.
Northwest Central wants your input! In April, we will invite the library community to participate in an environmental scan that will determine the direction of NWC. Also, if you are interested in playing an active role in CE for the library community, please consider joining our Advisory Group. We will be at OLA/WLA so please come by and meet us.
