IMLS-USCIS Webinar, December 17

Join Us for Customer Service Tools and Resources: An Overview for Libraries

Washington, DC—The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will present a webinar on Wednesday, December 17 at 2 p.m. ET.

Representatives from the USCIS Public Engagement Division and the Office of Citizenship will review the achievements of the USCIS and IMLS partnership in the past fiscal year. They will explore common inquiries immigrant library patrons may present, identify useful USCIS resources, and discuss ways in which libraries can engage with USCIS to become more active in immigrant outreach initiatives.

With webinars and other outreach, the ongoing USCIS-IMLS partnership<http://www.idevmail.net/link.aspx?l=1&d=73&mid=333802&m=2417> aims to equip libraries with educational materials, training resources, and information regarding immigration and citizenship.

To register for this session, please follow the steps below:

  *   Visit the USCIS Public Engagement Division Subscription Service registration page<http://www.idevmail.net/link.aspx?l=2&d=73&mid=333802&m=2417> to confirm your participation;
  *   Enter your email address and select “Submit”;
  *   Select “Subscriber Preferences”;
  *   Select the “Event Registration” tab; and
  *   Provide your full name and organization, complete the questions,and select “Submit.”

All registrations must be received by Tuesday, December 16. Once your registration is processed, you will receive a confirmation email with additional details.
