The Board of Trustees of the Twin Falls Public Library seeks candidates for the position of
Library Director. The Twin Falls Public Library has provided library service to the City of Twin Falls for over 100 years. The Library is located in a community of approximately 45,000 residents in south central Idaho. Twin Falls is located at the edge of the spectacular Snake River Canyon and is the commercial center of what is locally referred to as Idaho's Magic Valley. The Library has fifteen full-time staff members including eight full-time professional librarians and twenty-five part-time employees. This staff of 25 FTEs, with a strong commitment to patron service, works in a 42,000 square foot building. This includes the original 1939 building, plus additions in 1975 and 1991. The annual circulation is 460,000. The current and diverse collection of books and other materials, including electronic resources, exceeds 211,000 items.

The person filling this position will be responsible for design, implementation, integration and daily operations of the library's automation and communication systems, including the integrated library system, LAN, Web server, Internet access, telecommunications and related evolving systems and security issues with said systems. Required: a Master's degree in either library science, management, computer technology, or a related field. However, a candidate who is enrolled in a Master's degree in any of these disciplines with degree completion expected in two years could be considered. The incumbent must have a minimum of three years of experience in library service with an emphasis in library automation. Public library experience is highly desirable. Salary and benefit information: Salary and benefit information: 2015 salary range $53,914 to $67,393 dependent upon qualifications, plus excellent benefits.
