Head of the Library Experience and Access Department (Open until July 18)

Oregon State University Libraries and Press (OSULP) seeks applicants for the full time, tenure-track position of Head of the Library Experience and Access Department (LEAD). The Head of this exciting and newly-established unit will lead our efforts to continue transforming the library into a vibrant, flexible, and user-driven center for teaching, learning, and research.  The OSU Valley Library is already recognized as a major destination for the OSU Corvallis community, especially undergraduate students. The creation of the LEAD department reflects OSULP’s fundamental commitment to meeting its users’ evolving needs through exceptional onsite and remote library experiences.  This position will reframe services in this already highly popular area by working closely with colleagues within LEAD, internal OSULP partners and external campus partners to advance student success at OSU with programs that enhance and simplify the library user experience. Within LEAD, the department head oversees personnel, policy development, space planning, and the expenditure of supply and staffing budgets.

The Head of LEAD is a member of the Libraries’ leadership team and participates in the strategic planning and assessment of the Libraries and Press. This position will join a faculty known for its spirit of collaboration, creative energy and outstanding scholarship. A successful candidate will be a collaborative, service-oriented individual with a demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
