   The deadline to sign a letter supporting funding for the Library
Services and Technology Act (LSTA) Act is approaching this week and your
two Oregon senators have yet to sign. Senators Wyden and Merkley both
signed this letter last year so please call and ask them to sign again this
year. We really appreciate your advocacy and support!

   - Please sign on to "Dear Colleague" Letter supporting LSTA funding in
   FY15
   - LSTA is the primary source of funding for libraries in the federal
   budget
   - LSTA helps many public libraries provide services to users that
   include, but are not limited to: job searches, resume building help,
   digital literacy workshops, access to e-government services, etc
   - In the latest IMLS survey of public libraries, there were 1.53 billion
   in-person visits to public libraries in 2011
