Formation of Library District be formed with permanent rate limit up to $0.60 per $1,000 assessed value beginning July 2014.
If approved, Jackson County Library District will be formed with dedicated funding for library services, including: programs; activities; books; materials; online resources; technology; Community outreach; operational and administrative expenses. District boundaries will include all territory within Jackson County.

City of Canby - Measure 3-436

Should the Canby Urban Renewal Agency proceed with construction of a civic center consisting of city offices and a library?

A "Yes" vote advises the Canby Urban Renewal Agency to use available Urban Renewal funds that were already secured in December 2012 to build a civic center. This construction would allow City of Canby offices to move from the five current, aging buildings into one space for the purpose of consolidating staff, improving efficiency, and reducing operating costs as well as including a new library that is modern, efficient, and spacious. A "No" vote advises the Canby Urban Renewal Agency to use the same secured funds for other Urban Renewal projects as listed in the Urban Renewal Report (available on-line at the City of Canby website). The ultimate outcome of this vote is advisory only and not legally binding on the Canby Urban Renewal Agency or the Canby City Council

City of Oregon City - Measure 3-345

Shall Oregon City issue up to a $6 million in general obligation bonds to renovate and expand the Oregon City Library?

Approval of this measure authorizes the City to issue to $6 million of general obligation bonds to pay capital costs related to renovation and expansion of the Oregon City Library at the Carnegie Center, including costs related to the bonds. The City intends to pay debt service on the bonds from revenues already available to the City and does not intend to levy property taxes to pay the bonds. Approval of this measure will allow the City to finance the library renovation and expansion with general obligation bonds, which have a lower interest rate that alternative financing mechanisms. The bonds may be issued in one or more series. Each series will mature in 20 years or less
