Clear Your Schedule for the Library 2.014 Worldwide Virtual Conference

 

Your to-do list may need some adjusting starting tomorrow, as we kick off
the Library 2.014 Worldwide Virtual Conference
<http://www.library20.com/2014> , the fourth annual event in a series of
free virtual conferences co-founded by the San Jose State University (SJSU)
School of Information. 

 

There are more than 100 sessions scheduled

anticipated FREE conference about the future of libraries, including keynote
and distinguished speaker presentations. It might be best if you just clear
your whole calendar for Wednesday and Thursday this week.

 

The conference kicks off with a keynote presentation by Dr. Sandra Hirsh,
director of the SJSU School of Information and Library 2.014 conference
co-chair. “Working in a Global Environment – Success Strategies for Today’s
Information Professional” is the timely topic of Hirsh’s keynote. Along with
plans to discuss the role of information professionals in a global community
and the importance of the Master of Library and Information Science degree,
she will also talk about how information professionals can become “rock
stars” in their organizations and information environments. Hirsh will speak

The Library 2.014 conference is free, and there is no need to register. The
conference presentations will take place via Blackboard Collaborate, and can
be joined from desktop computers and mobile devices. While attending the
live sessions allows you to participate in live chat with the presenters and
other attendees, all of the sessions will be recorded and made available for
future viewing on the conference website.
