Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential. Must demonstrate the ability to develop and present a pre-school age story time program. The Gladstone Public Library is now taking applications for a full-time Library Assistant II - Librarian/Circulation Coordinator with a passion to deliver quality customer service and coordinate the daily operations of the library's circulations services. This position involves the scheduling of staff and volunteers. The candidate must have proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of WorkFlows/Sirsi Dynix. Candidates who are not offered this position may be considered for hire as an On-Call Library Assistant - Circulation. On-Call Library Assistants are used, when needed, to fill in for staff vacancies, meetings, etc. A BA/BS or equivalent is required with at least 3 years of professional experience working in a public library environment is required. An MLS, or MSLIS, from an ALA accredited college or university is preferred and will be considered in lieu of the three years' experience.
