[Libs-Or] Proposal Deadline Extended!

The Oregon Virtual Reference Summit Planning Committee invites you to submit proposals for Presentations and Lightening Talks for the 2015 Summit. This year, the OVRS will take place as a preconference to the OLA conference on April 15, 2015, in Eugene, Oregon.

Presentations:
Submit your proposals here http://tinyurl.com/ORVRS2015. Examples of past programs can be found on Northwest Central (http://nwcentral.org/) by searching for "Oregon Virtual Reference Summit." Programs need to be 60 minutes in length. Presentation formats that include a participatory element are encouraged. The deadline for submitting proposals is March 11, 2015. You can expect to receive a response by March 17, 2015. Presenters can have their registration fee reimbursed and can receive travel reimbursement up to $200 for individuals traveling more than 55 miles to the conference.

Lightening Talks:
Submit your proposals here http://tinyurl.com/omyu59r. Lightening Talks are short talks of 5 minutes focusing on topics related to virtual reference. These are interesting sessions with a chance to hear about and share perspectives and tips for the services we provide--and gives you a great opportunity to be part of the event! The Oregon Virtual Reference Summit (https://www.answerland.org/2015-oregon-virtual-reference-summit) is Oregon's annual conference dedicated to reference services and technology. The program is for all libraries and library staff, focusing on sharing ideas about reference services statewide. Meet library workers and virtual reference staff from around the state and exchange ideas. Presenters and attendees do not need to staff Answerland; all are welcome.
