The Southern Miss School of Library and Information Science (SLIS) is now accepting applications for fall 2015. http://www.usm.edu/library-information-science/graduate-programs

A limited number of graduate assistantships are available for students in the MLIS program for fall 2015 - spring 2016. A graduate assistantship covers tuition (and part of GAs medical insurance) and includes a stipend of $7200 for 9 months. It does not cover textbooks.
A SLIS graduate assistantship requires that students:
* work 20 hours per week at SLIS office, scheduled during Monday - Friday from 8am - 5pm
* live in (or move to) the Hattiesburg area and be enrolled in 9 credit hours per semester.
To apply, indicate on your MLIS application form that you are interested in a graduate assistantship; after acceptance into the program, send a letter and resume via email to: teresa.welsh at usm.edu
