[Libs-Or] Oregon Burial Site Guide availabe for free

The Oregon Burial Site Guide, a 1,200-page book with information about 2,500 burial sites in Oregon, is now available for free. The book compiled by Dean Byrd, Stanley Clark and Janice M. Healy  includes basic historic cemetery information with names and locations organized by counties, photographs, and a statewide index. It does not include burial lists. This resource is valuable for genealogical organizations, historical societies and for libraries.

The books are available for pick up from Oregon Heritage, 725 Summer St. NE (part of the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department)  from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. For more information contact,  Kuri Gill at kuri.gill at oregon.gov or 503-986-0685.
